The add-in will be AGPL-3.0
The NymForm for Excel add-in will be published under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 (opens external site) only (AGPL-3.0-only). Copyright is held by Jorge Garcia, and the project is maintained by SkySpan.
The AGPL-3.0 lets you use, study, modify and share the code, including commercially. If you distribute it, or modify it and let people use your version over a network, you must offer them the corresponding source code under the same license, keep the copyright and license notices, and mark what you changed. It does not grant use of the NymForm name. Read the license itself for the exact terms; this page is not legal advice.
Where the source is
The source repository is not public yet. It will be published as nymform-excel on GitHub, and this page will link to it and to its LICENSE file then. Until the repository is public, the site says "open source release coming soon".
What the open-source project covers
Everything in the add-in's repository: the task pane, the manifests, the request builder and check, the formula gate, the request path to the model endpoint, the tests and the benchmark tools. There is no NymForm server and no separate closed-source NymForm component. The alpha has one edition.
Commercial and enterprise licensing
Enterprise deployment and commercial licensing are in development. What a commercial offering would add, and under what terms, has not been decided, so nothing about it is promised here. The NymForm website, including these docs, is a separate project and is not covered by the add-in's license.
